An Update from Urban Christian Ministries

Urban Christian Ministries desires to teach, train, and equip youth with Christ-centered life skills. They are able to meet the needs of low-income families in Buffalo because of the services that they provide.

They are currently serving 30 youth aged students who are directly impacted by gun violence. UCM strived to give these students a Christmas they will remember forever! Through the Christmas donation at The Chapel, they were able to buy gift cards for these students. They shared that the kids simply could not believe that other people were thinking of them during the holiday season. A UCM staff member shared, “Seeing the smiles on their faces and the shock that people really care about them was priceless! It encouraged them that God truly works through his people, and they are motivated to continue working hard to be all that God has purposed them to be.”

Join us in praying for Urban Christan Ministries as they continue to serve these students, leading and guiding them to the fullness of Christ’s love.

If you are interested in working with youth, UCM is always in need of God-fearing individuals who would love to mentor the students they work with. There is currently a waiting list of students waiting to join their program, but they must have the capacity of mentors in order to accept them. To learn more, visit their website by clicking here
