Who We Are + What We Do
I thank my God … because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now. And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. Philippians 1:3,4,5
"Missio Dei!” (Latin for: The Mission of God)
God’s mission is to reach every man, woman, and child with repeated opportunities to hear, see, and respond to the transforming gospel of Jesus Christ. And, we believe that God desires to use His Church as the primary means to accomplish Missio Dei. The Chapel is honored to partake in this incredible mission!
In 2006, the Kingdom Come Initiative was launched by The Chapel as the primary way our church family joins God on His Mission to reach every man, woman, and child with repeated opportunities to see, hear, and respond to the transforming gospel of Jesus Christ within our circles of accountability. Kingdom Come continues to grow and develop in light of The Chapel’s deep sense of urgency and responsibility to leverage God-given resources as opportunities to engage Missio Dei locally, regionally, nationally, and globally. Through prayer and financial support, Kingdom Come is a “by faith” venture that each year invests significant financial support, countless man-hours, and other means to care for those in need. Through these partnerships at home and abroad, The Chapel family has the opportunity to serve orphans and widows, provide clean water wells for entire communities, support anti-human trafficking efforts, and participate in church plants and evangelistic endeavors.
Scripture teaches us that as followers of Jesus Christ, we all are one Church with one Mission. Like a human body, His Church is made up of many parts creating a crucial need for interdependency essential for the health, function, and effectiveness of the Church (1 Corinthians 12:12-27). This is why Kingdom Come co-labors with other ministries who also share in this same Mission. Together, we can ensure the gospel is offered to every man, woman, and child.
Beyond alignment with The Chapel’s mission, Kingdom Come prayerfully evaluates each partnership opportunity based on their geographic intentionality. Geographic intentionality is a key factor in how strategic partnerships are formed within the Church on local to global levels. An important advantage to this approach is that by engaging opportunities to share the gospel in culturally sensitive ways, the yield will be much greater in God’s harvest field.
The Chapel is not only blessed with many opportunities to partner with local organizations in Western New York but also blessed to have partnerships all around the globe! Because of varying needs and available resources, each Kingdom Come partnership can look differently from others. A partnership can include financial support, equipment, training, volunteer connections, use of facilities, consulting and/or mentoring, and more. Through a comprehensive application process, each partnership request is prayerfully considered. This method helps The Chapel steward resources in a God-honoring manner.
