An Update From Good News Global
Good News Global has the privilege of hosting weekly Bible studies and Sunday morning worships services at the Niagara Country Correctional Facility. Here is where they are able to share the love of Christ and the Good News of the Gospel with men who are impacted by incarceration.
Recently, Bill Whitmore, the Chaplin for this ministry was able to lead three inmates to the Lord by talking to them through the fence at the facility. This all happened because Bill went to go drop off a Bible to a certain part of the facility and in the process, an inmate came up the the gate and expressed interest in the Bible studies, Sunday morning services, and a Daily Bread devotional. Bill stepped into the opportunity that the Lord placed in front of him, to have a conversation with this man, that eventually led him and two other inmates who were listening in to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
Another inmate wrote a brief testimony on the back of a “Bible Correspondence Lesson”, which said “ It took me a while to realize that I was once a slave to my passions, desires, and sins. It only lead to temporary joy, but ultimately destruction. I now realize that in coming to Christ and becoming a son of God, I have received the inheritance and even though I am in jail and facing prison, I am more free than I have ever been.” Praise the Lord for this beautiful testimony.
Please continue to pray for Good News Global and all that the Lord is doing through them in the Niagara Country.
