An Update from SonRay’s Ministries

SonRay’s Ministries exists to spread the hope of the Gospel to vulnerable women, children, and families in WNY, and beyond, through pregnancy centers, post-abortion healing, international family assistance, senior care, family support, and youth outreach. Recently, Jerrica DeLaney, their President/Executive Director had this to share:

“God is at work within the ministry, and we are grateful. Between December and January, we have welcomed five new mothers into our program! These pregnant moms chose life for their babies, and they are meeting with us weekly to learn about Jesus, parenting, and themselves in light of Christ's love for them.

One special story is that one mom that we have been meeting with for about a year has grown deeply in her love of Jesus. When we met her, she was expecting her fourth baby and unsure of what path to take. She decided to keep her pregnancy, parent her baby, and learn about Jesus. She had a few interactions with Christians prior to coming to the ministry and even had a Bible, but she hadn't made Jesus her choice. She was very open to various religions. Well one year later, through our weekly meetings, a few home visits showing a little extra love, a few loads of laundry, and shared meals, she experienced Jesus's love and made Him her choice. She recently texted me, "Things we've talked about have helped me get here. Unfortunately, I had to get to a bad place to finally accept that I can't do this alone. Teaching my babies to pray as a first response and not a last resort so they don't struggle like I did."

Brothers and sisters, be encouraged. Although progress can seem so far away when we first encounter the precious souls we meet, it will come. God has done it, and we are expecting Him to continue to draw people to Himself through our work and through yours. It is all God's work. Thank you for your prayers!
